Un seísmo de 3.6 grados, ha sorprendido a los habitantes de Alicante, concretamente entre Relleu (en la comarca de Marina Baixa), Torremanzanas (l´Alacantí) y Benifallim (l´Alcoià), siendo sentido en gran parte del norte de la provincia de Alicante y en algunas ciudades del sur de Valencia.
Según ha informado el Instituto Geográfico Nacional de España, el movimiento sísmico se produjo en la localización siguiente: latitud 38.6134º, longitud -0.3340, a solo 2 kilómetros de profundidad y con epicentro en Relleu.
El temblor duró unos 5 segundos, siendo seguido de una réplica de menor intensidad. Por el momento, no existe constancia de que hayan provocado daños materiales ni personales.
Las redes sociales pronto se llenaron de los comentarios de vecinos que describían su testimonio de cómo les había despertado y sobresaltado, especialmente de Xixona, Gandía (Valencia), Alcoy y Benidorm.
Se trata de otro seísmo que tiene lugar en la provincia de Alicante, ya que se registraron dos con epicentro den aguas del Mediterráneo, concretamente frente a Torrevieja, el domingo a las 20:55 horas (hora local), de magnitud 2.6 y el lunes, con un seísmo a las 04:07 horas (hora local), de magnitud 2,5.
