A lo largo de este pasado fin de semana y hasta el lunes, 21 de junio, una serie de tormentas extremas han azotado algunas zonas de Francia, provocando inundaciones, granizo de gran tamaño, un tornado, daños materiales y un desaparecido. Se han contabilizado unos 44.000 rayos.
En Saint-Nicolás-de-Bourgueil, un tornado causó daños materiales en la iglesia en Indré-et-Loire. Los ladrillos desprendidos cayeron en varios vehículos que había estacionados debajo, rompiendo los cristales. También se ha sufrido daños en los viñedos y en los árboles.
En Vercel-Villedieu-le-Camp, el granizo ha sido del tamaño de pelotas de tenis, causando daños en vehículos. Las fuertes lluvias han desencadenado inundaciones, al mismo tiempo que el viento provocaba daños materiales en Ile-de-France y Reims.
Durante el transcurso de esta tormenta, se han contabilizado unos 44.000 rayos y los servicios de bomberos tuvieron que atender 400 llamadas de emergencia.
Un joven de 18 años permanece desaparecido, según las noticias locales de Courrier Picard.
